So you want to be on Broadway?
Daniel Craig and Daniel Radcliffe recently answered yes. Coming from a very different world, so did Cyndi Lauper and Billie Joe Armstrong. This season another crop of newcomers will test the autograph-seeking battlefields. Many come with stage experience. But that may not fully prepare them to navigate the two-show day, the cellphone interrupters, the best shortcut through Times Square.
Here’s a look at seven newcomers who will be part of the season (we’re including Sting-as-composer, though Sting-as-actor had a short visit a few decades back). Several of them were even game enough to ask Broadway veterans for a little guidance.
Claim to fame: Five seasons of legal warfare with Glenn Close in “Damages” on FX; genius of wedding one-upmanship in “Bridesmaids.”
Stage experience: “La Dispute” and “Three Sisters” with Sydney Theater Company.
Broadway debut: As Alice, the least eccentric member of the Sycamore family in “You Can’t Take It With You,” now in previews at the Longacre Theater.
Wants to know: “Where can I get a good martini?”
Answered by Ms. Close, starring in “A Delicate Balance,” which begins performances Oct. 20 at the Golden Theater: “My darling Rose, what a provocative question! You know I only drink milk.”

James Earl Jones, Rose Byrne, Annaleigh Ashford, Elizabeth Ashley and the starry Broadway cast of You Can’t Take It With You talk about Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman’s Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy.
The show will begin on August 26 and if you are lucky enough to be in NY or around, you can buy tickets here.
Beware! This post is ultra cute! So apparently, the ‘You Can’t Take It With You’ promotion just gets a little bit faster. The official site has been lauched and almost every social media accounts possible (links on the official website). Promo kits have already been sent and thanks to queenidinamenzel on Tumblr, we can already have a first look. The posters and informations have also been unveiled at the Longacre Theatre.
And last but definitely not least, Rose participated today, with her co-stars, at the kitten auditions in New York and it’s seriously too much cuteness to handle!
