ATYP is excited to announce two amazing new scholarship opportunities for young Australians aged 18–26. Partnering with G’Day USA and the Australian Theatre Company (LA), recipients will have a years mentoring with ATYP in Sydney culminating in the opportunity to travel to Los Angeles, work on a project with the Australian Theatre Company and be profiled at the G’Day USA Gala in January 2017.
ATYP Ambassadors Rebel Wilson and Rose Byrne are both alumni of the theatre company and are generously supporting these two scholarship funds. Each of the scholarships has different selection criteria but both are centred around identifying, nurturing and promoting the next generation of theatre artists.
Rose Byrne has also donated $15,000 per year for the next three years to support an emerging female leader in the arts. This could be a director, writer, actor or producer. Her commitment to the support of women in film is widely known but this scholarship marks her commitment to women in theatre.
“I’m delighted to be able to offer this opportunity to young women passionate about a career in theatre. I know that ATYP will provide a nurturing and professional environment for an artist to learn and grow their art form. I look forward to following their progress and seeing the quality of work that is created. I’m delighted that ATYP continues to be at the forefront of mentoring the arts leaders of tomorrow.”

After a quiet period, this week is full of surprises with the release of the ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ trailer and the Golden Globes nominations of ‘Spy’ as Best Motion Picture (Comedy or Musical) and Melissa McCarthy as Best Comedic Actress! We would have love to see Rose nominated for her impressive performance as Rayna Boyanov but unfortunately, she didn’t! But let’s keep our fingers crossed for the ‘Spy’ family!
There was a lot of rumors going on these last weeks (months?) because of some suspicious candids of Rose in New York but as nothing was confirmed, we, at Rose Byrne Source, didn’t want to comment these rumors, especially because we really want to respect Rose’s private life (and for this reason, these candids pics as all of them were not posted on the fansite). Then, pictures on the ‘Neighbors 2’ set continue to spread the rumor and now, new candids of Rose at Lax seem to confirm the happy news. At least, E! Online did it! Even if Rose or her rep didn’t confirm the pregnancy (and we don’t think they will), it actually seems quite obvious! So here, on Rose Byrne Source, we’d like to congratulate Rose and Bobby for the very happy news! Still, we will respect their privacy as we always do! Once again, congratulations to the happy parents!
Rose is pre-nominated at the People’s Choice Awards 2016 in the Favorite Comedic Movie Actress category for her recent roles, especially in Spy. Vote for her so she can be on the nominees list and maybe even win the award! She truly deserves it! You can vote here as much as you want I think! Go everyone!
Selena Gomez has joined the cast of Universal and Good Universe’s Neighbors 2. She will star alongside Seth Rogen and Zac Efron in the Neighbors sequel, along with Chloe Moretz. Gomez proved her rowdy college movie chops in Spring Breakers.
Neighbors was a surprise hit with $269 million in worldwide grosses. Rose Byrne is set to reprise her role with Nicholas Stoller returning as director.
The original revolved around a couple whose lives are turned upside-down after declaring war on the fraternity that moved in next door. The sequel’s plot is unknown, though sources say a sorority could be the source of the couple’s problem this time.
Gomez’s involvement in the film broke when fan photos revealed that she was on set. While details surrounding her role are unknown, her sorority girl-esque costume (a tight pink dress) indicates her character’s involvement with the Greek system.

She is one of the most stylish women in Hollywood. Now Australian actor Rose Byrne shown off her modelling skills in the latest campaign for Oroton. The Bridesmaids star, 36, is face of the accessories label and sports the brand’s new season collection of sunglasses and bags in the ads, shot by famed photographer, Boo George.
Byrne — who co-founded production company the Dollhouse Collective — is a regular on best dress lists. But when asked how she feels about being known as a “global style icon”, Byrne told Sunrise: “I feel very flattered“.
The stunning brunette is based in New York’s West Village where she lives with her boyfriend, Ant-Manactor Bobby Cannavale. Speaking to Vanity Fair this month, Byrne said “He’s a real romantic … I’m a very lucky girl”. Byrne is currently shooting X-Men: Apocalypse — where she plays CIA agent Moira MacTaggert — along side Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy and Nicholas Holt. And while she is known for serious roles — including playing lawyer Ellen Parsons in TV drama Damages — Byrne has a knack for comedy, most famously for her standout role in Bridesmaids with Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig. “It’s like doing a drama but on top of that you have to get a laugh,” Byrne told The Guardian, of acting in comedies. “It’s scientific, it’s technical and it’s also like lightning in a bottle.”
